Three reasons to be optimistic right now, right here

1. The fatigue we collectively feel, as we enter the third year dealing with Covid, may finally be so great and so heavy that we do what needed done all along. Masking and Covid shots. It's time to stop pleading with the unvaccinated to get their shot and it is time to let them know more graphically how they are killing others and themselves.

2. Interest rates are headed higher. We will see if the economy can stand strong with less propping up. That test is needed. Higher interest rates may also contribute to the fight against inflation. We will see if that is the case with the situation we are in today.

3. As a nation we are probably better positioned for sustained growth. Wages are higher. More people are in jobs that provide greater satisfaction. Working from home has shown us there are alternatives we need to further explore to make workers happier and more productive. Companies are providing the training and education to new hires like they use to provide generations ago. You can get hired and learn how to computer code or drive a truck while on the payroll.

Be protective of yourself and your family, Today is a risky time. But be optimistic also. Things are going to get much better.
